About

I bring over 25 years’ experience developing innovative arts and cultural initiatives in a range of government, non-profit and private sector settings, specializing in advancing the working of emerging and mid career artists. Formally trained as an artist, I apply design thinking to respond to any assignment, with proven ability to plan, direct and deliver complex public art and cultural initiatives to creatively enhance urban communities.  Project stakeholders have included public utility authorities, housing developers, incarcerated youth, indigenous populations, and mass transit patrons. As a valued team leader and consensus builder, I am able to recruit superior talent, and help them work expansively within complex organizational structures that may have competing interests and shifting priorities.  Beyond my extensive insights into the fields of transportation, redevelopment, education and recreation, I am highly regarded for my quietly assertive approach, which is comfortably offset by both humor and candor.
